Qatar Family Visit Visa Requirements
Comprehensive guide for father, mother, in-laws, siblings, and other relatives. Updated information as of 2025.
Eligibility Requirements
All sponsors must have:
- Minimum salary of 5000 QAR
- Eligible profession as per Qatar regulations

For Father
- Father’s passport copy
- Upload visa holder (Father) personal picture
- Sponsor’s passport copy
- Birth certificate/sponsor passport copy
- Approved two-way ticket
For Mother
- Mother’s passport copy
- Upload visa holder (Mother) personal picture
- Sponsor’s passport copy
- Birth certificate/sponsor passport copy
- Approved two-way ticket
For In-Laws
- In-laws’ passport copy
- Upload visa holder (In-laws) personal picture
- Sponsor and spouse passport copies
- Birth certificate/sponsor passport copy
- Approved two-way ticket
For Siblings
- Siblings’ passport copy
- Upload visa holder (Siblings) personal picture
- Sponsor’s passport and QID
- Birth certificate
- Approved two-way ticket
For Others
- Applicant’s passport copy
- Upload visa holder personal picture
- Sponsor’s passport copy
- Birth certificate/sponsor passport copy
- Approved two-way ticket
Application Process
- Open Metrash app > Visas > Personal
- Select “Request Application” > “Family Visit Visa”
- Scan passport main page using camera (do not upload from gallery)
- Upload passport back page from gallery
- Upload visa holder personal picture from gallery
- Enter names exactly as in passport:
- Given Name – First Name
- Surname – Second Name
- Father Name – Last Name
- Capture and attach all required documents using camera
- Click submit
Processing Time: 5-10 days for adults and 1 to 5 days for children
Insurance Requirements
If prompted in Metrash app:
- Obtain 1-month insurance from Qatar Insurance Company (QIC)
- Applies to all visa categories
Printing Approved Visa
- Open Metrash app > Visas > Personal > Operations
- Select “Pay Visa Fees”
- Choose relevant visa number
- Pay 200 QAR using debit/credit card

Father
Extendable up to 180 days (6 months)
Mother
Extendable up to 180 days (6 months)
In-Laws
Extendable up to 90 days (3 months)
Siblings
Extendable up to 90 days (3 months)
Others
Extendable up to 90 days (3 months)
Post-Arrival Medical Procedures
Required for all adults within 7 days of entry
- Location: Medical Commission, Mesaimeer
- Timing: 7 AM – 5 PM
Required Documents for Medical
- Original passport
- Visa copy with sponsor’s mobile number
- 100 QAR payment (debit/credit card only)
Medical Results Processing
- Results published through Metrash within 24 hours
- Received as SMS notification
- If not received within 3 days:
- Visit Medical Commission reception
- Bring visa copy and sponsor ID copy
Visa Renewal Procedure
- Open Metrash app > Visas > Personal > Operations
- Select “Renew Visa”
- Choose relevant visa number
- Pay 200 QAR renewal fee
Must be completed before expiry date
Visa Cancellation
- Automatic cancellation upon exiting Qatar
- New applications can be submitted anytime after departure
Handling Rejected Applications
- Visit Duhail Immigration Office
- Meet with Captain
- Timing: 7 AM – 11 AM
